My intentions for this challenge was to sort of create a mystery. To find windows that you couldn't see through the other side even though that is the point of window. The first photos of the window against the wooden wall i love because the beautiful clear reflection o the trees blocks the view of the inside of the building. The last photo i used the rule of thirds using a leaf in between the intersection points of windows lines. I love the way the orange leaf compliments the deep read of the window. The class on the window had more of a blurred fuzzy effect as it was an old bathroom window at a heritage farm. I really enjoyed trying to find the reflections and angles to create intriguing photos.

For this photo challenge I wanted to capture the natural colours you see on a day to day basis. For the flowers I wanted to focus really close and i wanted to really define the colours you see in them. I sharpened the eye to get all the different shaped and shapes of blue. I edited the photos enhances the colours and sharpening them a bit as well as brightening to get a really lively earthy vibe to the photos. I used a regular lense for the eye and used the sharpen tool to mimic a macro lense. For the flowers I decided to focus on a bundle of flowers and have the rest be blurry so there would be a main focus point rather than just a big patch of flowers.

For this photo challenge i want to zoom up on everyday items and show the true detail in them that we often can't see and also things that we usually wouldn't think would be interesting. I used the macro lense since the theme of this project was macro. For Abby's eye I edited a bit of the dark circles as well as cropped it to make sure there wasn't to much negative space and the the main focus of her iris really shined through. For the shoe i really wanted to get in all the dirt and the rustic worn out look you can't see as much when looking far away. For abby's hair i wanted to get a very textured look and capture all the tiny strands that somewhat have tiny differences in colour that again you can't see from a distanced.

Fr this challenge i wanted to get the city lights at night and really capture all the city lights you see everyday in an unique way. For the first photo I took off of a bridge looking into a round about. I thought it would be cool to capture a car driving along the whole road. I put my camera on Bulb with an F-stop of 18 this way not too much light would be let in and i could control how long the picture was taken for so i could capture the cars driving for however long i wanted. For the messy scribbly photo i was walking along the sidewalk of a busy road and just help the camera moving it around as I walked to create those messy scribbles of light and to get that combination of all the lights in one area. For the last photo it was also taken off a bridge. I placed the camera down the middle of the two roads to creating the perfect leading line. The cars on the right were driving there red back lights facing the camera and the cars on the right were driving towards the camera making one lane a streak of red and the other white which i think added a lot of interest to the photo.

These two photos were taken at the beach on a beautiful night . I changed the hue to make the yellows within the sun red adding a very mysterious out of world effect. for the first photo i loved the way the branches are so fine and spread and how dark they look really portraying that silhouette effect. For the second photo i set my camera on a fast shutter speed while my dad threw sand up in the air and i got this gorgeous photo of his hands reaching up just releasing the sand at the perfect moment. I love they way t=his hand and the sand look against the beautiful sunset and i love the way the colors blend together and how their is such a sharp and clear outline of silhouette.

I loved this photo challenge because it helped me really focus on the small things in life and see the beauty within them. I didn't realize that a patch of grass could look so peaceful and beautiful. I thought it was fun to find something that we walk on everyday and don't even think about and find its elegance. I think the way the sun was reflecting off the grass really added a beautiful touch and how some pieces were in focus and others were blurred. you can also see all the different shades of green within just this small patch and I think it adds a lot of interest and beauty.

The first photo is the other side of the building i used for architecture. I liked how another skyscraper is reflecting off the window of this skyscraper because it adds depth and confusion making the photo hard to figure out . I love how you can see the skyscraper going up from underneath showing I different point of view. I felt the lighting was perfect as it was a cloudy day and really worked well with the color and neatness of the photo. For the second photo I loved how symmetrical the photo turned out and how it was a perfect mirror image. I also like how natural the scene is; people walking, driving and just the world going around. You can also see the blue roof representing leading lines and i love how it draws your attention down the center of the photo making a very clear reflection.

My goal for this photo challenge was to create a contrast between old and new. I went to new westminster and found this old hotel. I loved the retro colors and how the extenuated the age of the building and made it look really old fashion.I turned down the exposure and saturation to give it more of a faded look to match the theme. The second photo was taken just down the road from the old hotel which is where i got the idea of showing the contrast between old and new. I love the settle a neutral colors because I feel they make the photo very modernized. I love the geometric shape the building has and all the very sharp cut shapes you can see within the photo because i feel it make it look very clean I added the lamp post in the photo to add more detail and interest to the photo.

For this photo i went to an old heritage farm down near crescent beach. there were lots of old brand filed with old farming tools and machinery. I felt this one was great for the black and white photo challenge because it enhances the rustiness in the photo and really expresses that old feeling. For the second photo of the lock i put camera on a shallow depth of field lowering the sharpness of the fence as it got further away, i thought this one would be good for black and white since the fence and lock are already a grey-ish silver and only the background needed to be colored

For my choice of photo challenge I decided to go for a dramatic photoshoot. Mainly because it was something simple and I felt it was a very expressive emotion. Something as simple as changing the filter of a photo can change so much in what the picture expresses. For the photo on the left the wind was blowing perfectly brushing her hair across her face and I felt this made the photo so much better rather then use a serious facial expression. For the photo on the left I made her look down and the ground and smile so it adds sort of a secretive feel to the photo as she isn't actually making eye contact with the camera.

For the cookie photo i found the perfect opportunity when i was at Starbucks after school with my friends. I saw the cookie on the napkin and thought it would be perfect for this challenge. I angled the camera so it was just hovering against the table making an interesting angle of the perfectly placed incing and symmetrical features of the overpriced Christmas cookie. For the waffle i first made the waffle and added topping that would add interest and dimension. I set up a white background so noting would distract from the waffle. I enhanced the blueberries adding more color and loved the way it tuned out.
